Welcome to India.

Have you thought you are stupid? I have. I think everyone has that kind of experience at least one. When I went to India with a friend of mine two years ago, I had an awful experience there.

After we got to New Deli which is famous city in India, we tried to have lunch but we had already eaten meals in the plane, so we decided to have just snacks. Then we got on a cab to another place. There were so crowed and the traffic was terrible. No one follow the lights and they horn all the time. Everything was new to us.

Then we got to new place , I asked a guy which restaurant was famous in this city. We couldn't even speak their language so he just pointed one point on our map. We thanked him and started walking to the place he had told us. I had never imagined this was the beginning of my stomach ache hell.

We got the restaurant and I got a cup of lassi. As soon as I drank it, I got stomach ache because they had been using water from India that was not good for Japanese stomach. We were supposed to stay in India for 10 days but there was no choice for me but had to fight my stomach ache for more than thirty minutes everyday since that day. I was spending a lot of time with many toilets even though we had gone to India to go sightseeing.

By the time we went back to Japan,my stomach had already been fine. I was so careful not to drink water from India,Of course the bottles of water were fine. Finally we got to the plane to Japan.I was so glad because I didn't have to think about water anymore. However, there was nothing funny about what was going to happen to me next.

One hour after we left India, one of flight attendants served me a cup of water. I drank it without any doubt, but this was water from India.I got stomach ache again soon and I realized that I am so stupid.I don't have to say the details about where I was in the plane.

  1. Sounds familiar. I had a similar experience in Egypt, but ended up unconscious and in hospital. Then when I got back to London it came back and I was sent to the Hospital for Tropical Diseases and kept for a week.
